Rising Damp can arise from having a defective or lack of a damp proof course. Rising damp can be found by a building survey by tests carried out at the base of the wall and in more severe cases there is visible damp patches, tied marks or hygroscopic salts on the surface of the wall.

Condensation is one of the most common cause of damp problems in homes. This is caused by a lack off air ventilation flowing through your property. Moisture content levels in the property then lead to mould forming around windows and the surface of your walls.
